Trolley Dash

Find and deliver items in a supermarket against the clock!

Locate items as orders come in, and deliver them to the checkouts as quickly as you can. Each complete order extends the clock.

Make use of the trolley and a strong throwing arm to dash the items to the tills as efficiently as you can.

Made as a solo effort in Unreal Engine 5 for GMTK Game Jam 2026.  I spent roughly 3 and days out of the 4 available working on this. I'd love to know what you think!

Theme: Countdown.

Build notes:

• To interact with the trolley, you do have to look down at it and make sure the reticle is over it before pressing E to start pushing. 
• Same for picking up objects - you do unfortunately need to be quite precise and make sure the camera is centered over the object you want to pick up before pressing E.
• 'Held' objects will collide with world geometry as they try to be in the middle of the screen, so make sure you move them clear of any obstacles.
• The game has no audio - simply ran out of time to add any.
• Occasional crash when trying to deliver lots of items at once.

Controls:

• WASD / Xbox Gamepad Left Stick - Move
• Mouse / Xbox Gamepad Right Stick - Look
• E / Xbox Gamepad X - Interact (Pick up / drop item, Use / stop using Trolley)
• Left mouse / Xbox Gamepad Right Trigger - Throw item
• Right mouse / Xbox Gamepad Left Trigger - Drop item
